Philip Durbin BE Mech
Director

Phil is the founding director of the Finite Elements business with some 26 years of experience in business development, engineering project management, innovative design processes and computer analysis. He has built a methodology which places engineering design at the center of everything the business does.

He has substantial experience in design, project management, commissioning, testing and general troubleshooting of new and operational plant, particularly in industrial plant shutdown situations. He is also knowledgeable in the use and design of FRP composite components for process plants.

Phil has, over many years, supported his engineering with strong FEA & CFD skills and has demonstrated a capacity to produce elegant and productive plant design through his innovative, computer supported approach.

Assoc. Professor David Fletcher
CFD Research/Consultancy

David has a BSc in Mathematics and a PhD for work on the simulation of heat and mass transfer in separated flows. He is the reciepient of a Habilitation à des Diriger Recherches by the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse for his CFD work in the Chemical Process Industries. David is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Sydney and is author of over 110 journal articles.

David has over 20 years of experience in CFD from algorithm development to simulation of industrial flows. He is an internationally recognised expert user of the ANSYS CFX software package and has very strong links with the development and application groups at ANSYS CFX.

Rob Mitchell BE Aero
Senior Simulation Engineer

Rob is experienced in the development of software for the modelling of vorticity in air streams. His PhD research thesis developed computer based mathematical models relating to biomedical engineering.

Rob is a CFD and FEA modelling expert, consistently producing innovative and practical design solutions to a diverse range of complex processes, equipment and structures.
